چکیده

We show that amplitude-squeezed states may be produced by driving a feedback-controlled cavity with a coherent input signal. The feedback controls the transmissivity of one output from the cavity and is essentially equivalent to nonlinear absorption. The cavity electively acts as a nonlinear reflector. Hence, amplitude-squeezed states with arbitrarily strong coherent intensities can be obtained. PACS number(s): 42.50.Dv, 42.50.Ar, 42.50.Lc

Modulation Response and Relative Intensity Noise Spectra in Quantum Cascade Lasers

Static properties, relatively intensity noise and intensity modulation response in quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) studied theoretically in this paper. The present rate equations model consists of three equations for the electrons density in the conduction band and one equation for photons density in cavity length. Two equations were derived to calculate the noise and modulation response. Calcula...

Effect of Insulated Up and Down Lid Motion on the Heat Transfer of a Lid-Driven Cavity with an attached fin

This study investigates the effect of lid motion on the optimal characteristics a thin rectangular fin attached on the hot wall of a square lid-driven cavity with active vertical walls. The optimal fin position is studied for Richardson numbers of 0.1-10. The effect of mounting a rectangular fin with a thermal conductivity of 1 and 1000 on minimization and maximization of heat transfer through ...

Sub shot-noise fluctuations in the intensity sum of two coupled beams

A quantum analysis of intensity fluctuations for the above-threshold parametric four-wave mixing in a cavity, driven by two laser fields, is presented. A new possibility for the reduction of quantum fluctuations below the shot-noise level in the sum of intensities of two cavity-output coupled beams at the driving field frequencies is predicted. The calculation of the corresponding interbeam sec...

Reduction of the Intensity Noise by Electric Positive and Negative Feedback in Blue-Violet InGaN Semiconductor Lasers

Reduction of the intensity noise in semiconductor lasers is important subject to extend application range of the device. Blue-violet InGaN laser reveals high quantum noise when the laser is operated with low output power. The authors proposed a new scheme of noise reduction both for the optical feedback noise and the quantum noise by applying electric feedback which is positive type at a high f...

Dynamical evolution of nonclassical properties in cavity quantum electrodynamics with a single trapped ion

In this paper, by considering a system consisting of a single two-level trapped ion interacting with a single-mode quantized radiation field inside a lossless cavity, the temporal evolution of the ionic and the cavity-field quantum statistical properties including photon-counting statistics, quantum fluctuations of the field quadratures and quantum fluctuations of the ionic dipole variables are...
